Haris Christys is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association since 2004. He obtained his LLB and was awarded an LLM in International Economic Law, from the University of Warwick. He is primarily engaged in corporate advice, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private equity investments on both buy-side and sell-side transactions. He also advises private and public companies and groups of companies including advice on all aspects of corporate governance and CySec authorisations and is involved in commercial litigation and arbitration. Haris is a member of the Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a licensed Nominated Advisor with the Cyprus Stock Exchange and an authorised Insolvency Practitioner.
Chloe Tofarides is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association since 2005. She obtained her LLB from the University of Sheffield and was awarded an LLM in Shipping from UCL in London. She subsequently completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London. Her main areas of practice are litigation, employment, corporate, contract, project finance, property, competition, insurance and shipping law.
Christos Christys is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association since 1996. He obtained his LLB from the University of Leicester and was awarded an LLM from the University of Southampton, specialising in Admiralty Law, Carriage of Goods and Marine Insurance. He served with the Diplomatic Corps of the Republic of Cyprus until 2003 when he joined J&P Joannou & Paraskevaides Group, a major international civil engineering and construction group as legal counsel. In 2012 he was appointed Head of Legal until 2018 when he joined forces with CHRISTYS & CO LLC. Mr Christys served as Secretary General of the Cyprus Construction Contractors Association (SEOK) until 2015 and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Employers & industrialists federation of Cyprus (OEB) since 2007 and Secretary of Cyprus Organisation for the Management of Construction Waste (KODA). Mr Christys has considerable experience in the legal fields of construction, construction contracting and management, labour and insurance law as well as corporate, contract and commercial law. He is a trained arbitrator and a former member of the London Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, focusing on engineering and construction related disputes. In addition, he has served for many years as a lay judge of the Labour Court of Cyprus. Mr Christys has acted in numerous multiparty cross-border transactions with a focus on major construction joint venture projects such as Jordan’s Queen Alia International Airport, VTT Vasiliko oil storage terminal facilities in Cyprus, Limassol Marina, the newly constructed One Tower Limassol and the New Cyprus Museum (under construction).
Rita Christys is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association since 1996. She obtained her LLB from the University of Sheffield. Rita’s main areas of practice include contract, commercial, property, probate, employment and corporate law. She is also a registered mediator in civil and commercial matters with the Ministry of Justice.
Soteris Photiou is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association since 2013. He obtained his LLB from Surrey University and was awarded an LLM in Commercial Law from Bristol University. Soteris is engaged in commercial, private criminal, administrative, tort law and labor law litigation in relation to a variety of cases including civil actions, petitions, injunctions, tax cases, probate actions and wills. Soteris’ areas of expertise also include corporate law, focusing on company incorporation, mergers and acquisitions, company liquidations and corporate litigation, as well as banking, immigration and Intellectual Property Law. He is also an experienced Mediator registered in both commercial and civil registries of the Ministry of Justice.
Andreas Pantelides obtained his LLB from Queen Mary University of London and was awarded an LLM in Public International Law from UCL. Andreas has been a member of the firm’s practice since 2018 and his main areas of practice include corporate, contract, commercial, labour, property and intellectual property law. Andreas regularly advises local and international clients in relation to shareholders’ disputes and corporate acquisitions, provides legal support in relation to the day-to-day running of the business, drafts and reviews various forms of commercial contracts and provides legal opinions for the benefit of his clients.
Andriana Charalambous is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association since 2019. She obtained her GE LLB degree from City, University of London and also has a BSc degree in Business Management from Queen Mary, University of London. Andriana is a litigator and her main areas of practice include contract, commercial, property, probate, employment and corporate law.
